The stamping points of the Harz Hiking Needle can be found at 222 interesting hiking destinations throughout the Harz Mountains. The stamp boxes are located at forest restaurants, mountain huts and viewpoints. Hikers can press a stamp into their hiking pass at these stamping points. After reaching a certain number of stamps, the Harzer Wandernadel awards the successful hiker a bronze, silver or gold hiking pin. Particularly hard-working hikers can be named Hiking Queen. Anyone who has collected all the stamps on the hiking pin can be crowned the Harz Hiking Emperor.
